Rutgers loses physical battle with Texas A&M, leaves Las Vegas with less than it hopes for

LAS VEGAS — Like most of the hundreds of fans who flew across the country to watch Rutgers play, the Scarlet Knights left Las Vegas with less than it had hoped for.
Rutgers suffered a second consecutive loss to conclude its participation in the first-of-its-kind Players Era Festival, dropping an 81-77 decision to No. 20 Texas A&M at MGM Grand Garden Arena on Saturday — a defeat the Scarlet Knights could rue come March.
